Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LEOSA Locations ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

The Site is intended exclusively for active duty and retired law enforcement officers who are qualified to carry a concealed firearm under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, 18 U.S.C. § 926B (active officers) or 18 U.S.C. § 926C (qualified retired officers). Use of the Site by civilians, or by any person not meeting the requirements of § 926B or § 926C, is prohibited. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

If you register as a retired officer, you further represent and warrant, and certify under penalty of removal and referral where the law allows, that: (a) you separated from service in good standing as a law enforcement officer, after an aggregate of 10 years or more of service as such an officer, or separated from service due to a service-connected disability as determined by your former agency; (b) during the most recent 12 months you met the standards for training and qualification in firearms that apply to active law enforcement officers in your state; (c) you are not under the influence of alcohol or another intoxicating or hallucinatory drug or substance, and you are not prohibited by federal law from receiving a firearm; (d) you have not been officially found by a qualified medical professional employed by your former agency to be unqualified for reasons relating to mental health, and you have not entered into an agreement with your former agency in which you acknowledged being unqualified for those reasons; and (e) every credential, qualification record, and selfie you upload is your own, genuine, and unaltered. Retired verification is valid for 12 months, after which you must verify again.

3. Account Registration

Active officers must register with a valid official law enforcement agency email address, and retired officers register with the credential, qualification record, and live selfie described in Section 2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User-Submitted Content

By submitting location information, check-ins, or comments to the Site, you:

• Represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge based on personal experience
• Grant LEOSA Locations a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content through the Site
• Acknowledge that submitted content will be attributed to your agency name only, never your personal name, and may be visible to other verified users

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated location information
• Impersonate any law enforcement officer, agency, or other person
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with any other person
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically download data from the Site

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Information on the Site may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal advice. You are solely responsible for verifying carry permissions directly with any facility before carrying a firearm. LEOSA Locations makes no representation that the information on this Site is current, accurate, or legally sufficient for any purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LEOSA Locations and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on this Site, including but not limited to any legal consequences resulting from carrying a firearm based on information found here.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, submission of false information, or loss of eligibility as an active or retired law enforcement officer.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate federal or state courts.

11. Retired Membership Fee

The first 200 approved retired members are free for life. After that, retired membership is $10 per 12 months, charged after your credentials are approved. Membership does not renew automatically. Refund requests go through the Support page; disputes follow Stripe's process. Prices may change with notice. Active officers are always free.
