Military law enforcement verification is in development

LEOSA Locations verifies every member by an official agency email address. Military law enforcement, including military police, security forces, master-at-arms, and similar assignments, uses the same email domains as the rest of the service. An address alone cannot confirm a law enforcement assignment, so we are not able to approve military law enforcement accounts yet.

Every application is reviewed by hand, and we have to decline military law enforcement applicants until we can verify the assignment. Joining the waitlist below is the fastest way to be told when that is ready, and it saves you and the review team a round trip.

Why the wait

Civilian agencies issue email addresses that identify the agency, so an address is enough to confirm an officer belongs to a law enforcement organization. A .mil address only confirms service membership. We are working on a way to verify a military law enforcement assignment that holds the same standard, and we would rather get that right than open the door early.

Civilian special agents and officers at defense agencies, including NCIS, OSI, CID, and DCIS, are reviewed on their agency email like any other applicant. If that is you, request access now. Retired officers have their own page.

LEOSA Locations currently verifies active sworn officers by agency email under 18 U.S.C. § 926B. Verification for military law enforcement is in development. LEOSA Locations is a community-sourced database. Always verify status directly with facility management. Not legal advice.
